Powerhead 30G Nano

Hi everybody,

I’ve just setup my 30G nano cube... I’m using a hydro koralia 600 which seems a little too strong. It’s pushing my CaribSea Fiji pink sand around a bit stirring up a lot of dust.

It’s located on the the opposite of my return pump. Is it a satisfactory powerhead or should I consider something different? Any advice would be really helpful. Placement?

For my 24 biocube, I just got an oversized return pump and used that as all my flow. What kind of coral are you stocking?

I had an Aqua Gadget Wave Link on my IM 20. It has good power for it's size but can be adjusted way down. I now use it on the setting of -1- for my 10 gallon nano and I think it's perfect. It has a surprising amount of controllability for such and inexpensive powerhead.

I’m considering starting with softies and graduating to LPS... no SPS. ...At least not until I graduate to a much larger tank.

I would just do a big return pump and smart aquascape then. Throw on a spinstream for good measure.
