It's me again, dudes! :beaming-face-with-smiling-eyes:

Got most of the equipment for my 40 breeder fowlr (for now) in today. My question is on powerhead and filter placement. I've got two koralia 750-850gph and an aquaclear 70 because my budget shrank by quite a bit. My scape is going to be live rock in two separate stacks with a bridge in the middle going up about 2/3 of the way or so. Should I place filter on back middle and powerheads 1/3 of the way down pointing at each other?

Edit: moving to soft corals after the summer. I'll be getting a ro/di system well before I add any corals to give my tank time to get 100% ro/di water in there. Will probably add a third 750 round then. Found this graphic below which looks alright, I think.

Thanks in advance!

I would point one at the water surface, to get proper oxygen into the water and to avoid any surface slick buildup at the surface.

you would have to play around with the setup, the goal is as much random chaotic flow as possible, and avoid dead spots as much as possible. Normally, they point somewhat at each other so the flow can bounce off each other, or bounce off the glass.

One trick is to put a bubbler in the tank, that way you can see the bubbles so you know how the flow is going.

That bubbler idea is rad. I'll try that!
