Powerhead/circulation pump... is anything new coming out?

I need a new circulation pump, before spending some cash on a product that could be superseded, what is expected to be released soon?

The reason I ask...... my Maxspect Gyre130 needs replacing. In 18 months I've changed 6 rotors and now the end housings need changing, as anything above 40% is unbearably loud.
My experience with Jecod products seems to be failures after 12months.

This leaves me with the option of an MP10 or Tunze 6040, is there anything new about to be released?

I am not sure of your tank size, but Tunze announced their new turbelle stream 3 pump. Magnetic brushless motor and 5 yr warranty.

My tank is a 2ft cube.

Good on Tunze with a 5yr warranty and having confidence in there product. Will have a look, as it looks like that pushes water across the tank wall.

Might be overkill, but the controller allows a lot of flexibility. The nice thing is that you can place these anywhere and direct the flow accordingly. Hide it behind the rock and direcr the flow outward. I plan to add one to see how it works and may add more.

I suggest waiting until MACNA if you're not in a rush and want to be on the cutting edge. Personally, I'm a fan of MP's.
