Powerhead for deep blue 57 rimless

Looking for powerhead options for deep blue 57. Tank is 36x18x20 gonna mainly be zoa and shrooms. Mp40 or gyre 3k. Center overflow. Rocks on one side tank

I vote Gyre, I have tried MP pumps and just am not as happy with them as my gyres.

I’ve got the same tank, the non reef ready version drilled with a ghost overflow. Whatever you choose, make sure the magnets are strong enough to stick on 1/2” glass. Though I’m not yet up and running, I’ve got 2 MP40QDs on mine.

Get 2 Icecap gyre 1k. More than enough I have a 1k and an MP10 on my 40 breeder that’s pretty close to same dimensions. If I would do it over if never waste the money for the MP10 and get 2 1k. Much better flow and control

Yeah I was thinking 1k one on each side of overflow pushing towards front glass or would it be better 1 on each side pushing across

One in each side is much better. I found with the gyre pumps if it’s a short throw like back to front doesn’t give best flow. They do better where it can throw the water further. I’d do one in each side.
