You guys have been so much help so far so was wondering what GPH head should be used in a 60gal ?

You should aim for around 600 gallons per hour. A good rule of thumb is that you want to multiply 10 times with the number of gallons in your tank. (60g x 10 = 600 gph)

Depends on what you are keeping. 10x would be about the minimum for fish or soft corals. As high as 100x is considered normal for an SPS tank, although typically you don't have it running that high all the time.

As always thanks for all your great advice !

Great formula Thanks

I would run 2ea MP40's at opposite ends of the tank.

Is it a Seahorse tank? Or SPS only? They require vastly different flow rates. My SPS dominant 120DT peaks at about 100x, averaging 60x or more.
