Powerhead gph recommendations 40 breeder

Hello all, happy sunday.
I have a 40 breeder and not counting the return I have two powerheads non adjustable that combined are at 1600 GPH. Everything seems to be doing okay but flow looks strong.

Is 1600 too much for the 40 breeder or is this an acceptable range. I appreciate any recommendations!

1600 gph is a bit much for a 40 breeder but if anything is doing well and growing then let it be. You may want to think about hetting a power head or 2 so you can change modes like a ecotech mp pump or any other controllable that fit your needs and budget.
