I know current is good for the corals. But is it good to place any coral right in front the powerhead? If so any corals recommend for this? I currently don't have any corals in yet. Would like easy starter corals since I'm not too advanced

What type of tank do you want to end up with? SPS dominant? A softy tank? Mainly LPS? One mistake I made buying my first corals was getting something because it was "super easy to keep", and I ended up with a bunch of corals I didn't exactly want. There are easy varieties of every type so it's best to start out with something you know will fit into your tank later on.

I currently have a 29g biocube. I have a powerhead 240 gph blowing directly at the live rock. The powerhead itself is about 5 inches away from the rocks. I plan on keeping lps and soft corals only. Would any soft coral or lps survive in this current? or would you guys recommend aiming the powerhead a different direction?
