Powerhead in refugium?

Should I have a Powerhead in my sump for refugium and if so what are some good ones for this application?

I run a jebao sow10 in the skimmer chamber of my sump to keep detritus from settling. I've had this pump for 2+ years now and it's dead silent. Although I did try and order a second one a while back and had to return it due to noise so I guess it's a gamble. But the pump is great...I own 2 Nero 5s and still think the sow has been the best pump I've owned. Idk about in a refugium but for keeping detritus suspended I think it's a great idea. And come Monday, go dawgs!! Haha

lol thank you yea I like the idea of keeping stuff from settling in the skimmer chamber I think I may add one there I’ll look into the jebao. Ohh, and Roll Tide!!!!!

I have small powerhead, 500lph in chaeto chamber, before skimmer, just to add some more flow to chaeto and lr in there......

I tried a small one, was still too much for a Trigger 20, took it out. I will try one with the new one, maybe on a timer.

I don't run a pump in my sump but I wanted to chime in and say Go Dawgs as well!

I run it to keep sump clean from detritus and also it helps in mixing dosing liquids

I never thought one would be useful in the sump but having a small one to keep detritus in suspension seems like a good idea.

No real need chaeto doesn't need much flow. And excessive flow may dislodge beneficial critters.

I don’t have a return pump in my fuge but I have a pump going into my uv from the return pump chamber dumping back into the filter sock
