Powerhead Maxspect Gyre 350 reefer

Hey guys, I have a 350 reefer and am wondering what power heads to get, specifically the gyre’s, do I get a 250 or is 230 enough?

I had 2 230s on my 350 and never ran them on more than 50%.
I have 250s on my 750 and they move A LOT of water, would definitely be an overkill for the 350.

I’m guessing you were happy with them overall seeing as u stuck with them for the 750, thanks for your response mate!

I had 1 250 on my 525xl and ran it at 70%. I just added a 2nd and am running them both at 50%

230 will be fine for your tank.

Very happy. Hard to match the flow with anything else. Just have to keep them clean, every ~2 months put in a bucket with vinegar or citric acid and let run a few hours and you’ll rarely have to take them apart. They do lose power if you skip the cleaning and in my case the propeller got damaged.

Agree on losing power. Once mine start losing power I bump up the % until I pull and clean them.

Sooo there is a 350 out going to get that lfs tried to downsell me to get rid of stock it would seem with the 230
