Powerhead mounting options

Has anyone mounted their powerhead on the overflow box? I have a 54 corner and the best flow seems to be to point right at the middle of the curve.
Also thinking of picking up a Jebao WP25 for this application.
Thoughts, ideas.....

Will the "dry side" of the power head be "wet"?

Yes so that would rule out an MP. I just get the magnet to hold my Korila (sp.) 2 thru the double wall of the overflow
