Hey there, i did some googling and got mixed results on how many powerheads i should use for my 120 gallon mixed reef tank. no sps or anything crazy hard.
After reading i was thinking of grabbing 2 jabeo rw4s and having one on each side, one aimed at front the other at the back.
My tank is a 48x24x24, it is setup with a center hanging overflow bean animal drain, and one return which im buying a dual nozzle for.

Hmmmmmmmmm, not sure that 2 jabeo rw4s will be enough for that size tank ... I have no SPS. ;)
I run 2 in my lil' BC29;)

By the way ...

Gotcha, might have to do two RW-8s then perhaps, ill keep looking around too.

Really depends on the coral you are keeping. I prefer to have multiple powerheads to have more varied patterns. I had one of those on a 40g but it was a purposely low flow tank. I would definitely think you would want more flow as Helen Ann said.

Its going to be a mixture of basic/easy corals like zoas and lps. Nothing too hard.
I know alot more smaller powerheads is preferred but im hoping maybe 2 PP15 will work. I prefer to have only 2 powerheads max if possible.

you can look at the jebao wp25's too. I have 2 in my 55d 48x24x12. its actually a bit too much.
rockwork is also a consideration. as I recall yours has all low rock, so 2 rw8s or 2 wp25s should be fine.
Look at the mp 40 tanks, a lot of them have only one on each side and it seem to work ok.

if your running a higher return rate through the sump you can use that too. I do.
