Anyone know of any repair companies where you can like send them a box of powerheads/pumps that don't work or need repair and they'll fix them if it's cost-effective? I have at least 5 or so that are sitting around and don't work. Would be cheap enough to send them all at once and if repairs were fairly cheap, could have like 5 "like-new" powerheads ready to use. Anyone know of someplace that does this or someone?

Most of the time with power heads in my experience is that if it is not the Impeller or shaft that is the problem, then It is A short internally that can really only be replaced by disassembling the sealed compartment, microsaudering whatever went out, and re waterproofing. I have never heard of a single human who has done this at all...The cost of the 5 powerheads to be fixed would easily be the cost of a few new ones, unless you found someone who is extremely skilled and will do it free lance, then if it ends up electrocuting you there is no liability involved but your own...thus nobody to sue. It is not worth it to me at all, and not to be condescending, because any question involving money saving is a good question, but it just seems like a waste of time unless a company with insurance does it...which according to my minimal googling skills, are nil. My advice, see if some of them just need new impellers or shafts, could even be as small as a piece of sand in it, I had a piece in my return pump once and it wouldnt kick on until I slammed it...DONT DO THAT THOUGH!!! lol, not until every other option has been proven non working. The ones that are internal and/or electrical problems you should just trash...The electric shock would feel worse than the cost of new power heads...Craigslist is full of used ones if you need any, or someone on here may even have some they are selling..

Yeah I don't honestly know what's involved in fixing them since I never have. I don't necessarily need them, they're just sitting in boxes. But was curious if there was a cost-effective way to get them fixed. Guess not though haha. Thanks!
