I have never had a powerhead plugged into a timer, I just leave it plugged in all the time. I only turn them off when cleaning the tank and when feeding corals. I manually unplug and plug it all back in.Thx Maggie.... I did unplug and replug and it runs correctly.... but then later my timer turns it off for awhile but when it goes back on its running backwards
?????????
I have a cheap one that occasionally does this. I just unplug it and plug it back in until it goes the right way.

My hydor koralias do this too. I had to pull them off my wavemaker because of this. Run great, just not really ment to be turned on & off a lot. I just plug them in, make sure they're blowing the correct direction & leave them.
