I am using a 150g rubbermaid stock tank for a sump for my current new build. I am wanting good constant flow in the sump to have minimal crud settling at the bottom of it. So far I added 2 cheaper powerheads that both are rated for 1500 gph. Im not seeing the flow I want with them. I would rather not keep adding mediocre powerheads to the sump and keep adding more cords. I also want to keep the powerheads fairly low in the tank to reduce surface agitation so an ATO can work properly.

Anyone have experience in getting good waterflow in these stock tanks? Any powerhead suggestions?

I use a Tunze 6095 in my 150 gallon stock tank, Most Tunze are under rated for flow. I would take a look at Tunze for sure, they just keep working.
