I’m looking for a relatively inexpensive Powerhead. It definitely need to be adjustable and I would like it to have a magnet.

I was looking at these two:

Any opinions on these two?

I would prefer it be under $60.

What size tank are you working with?
Sorry, forgot to say. It’s a 29g tank.

Heres a picture just for reference:

Ah. Well, looking at both of the links you provided, I think either would work.

one thing to consider though, what are your coral plans? With softies and LPS one would probably be fine. But sps might need two of either

Two power heads? Danggg.

Not sure really, most likely LPS; zoas, mushrooms, etc. (I’m pretty clueless when it comes to corals... ;Facepalm)

only reason I bring up what corals you want is it’ll really influence how much flow you need. With just lps and zoas I would imagine you just would need one of the above. I’d personally go for the second as it has what appears to be a nice controller and has a higher max flow. Meaning if you ever needed the flexibility to increase your flow, you could do so without having to get another power head

I really like the Hygger one, as it is way more programmable than the other one. It’s also more low profile, which I like.

It also have “wave mode”, where you can programs different “waves”, during sunrise, sunset, etc.

Wouldn’t to much flow kill the coral? Or is there no such thing as to much flow? ;Cold

If the tank had to much flow, wouldn’t the fish/invertebrates be uncomfortable?

Potentially yes to both points you brought up. I think, now, I was hasty in saying you would need two. I didn’t realize you’re rocking a 29g. I would say the Hygger is what I’d go with.

Is there an issue with the Hygger, in the sense that it can’t turn left and right?

I was looking at it today, and it’s just flat, which means it couldn’t be directed, just straight ahead.

Would this be an issue?

Meh... I don’t really want to spend that much on a powerhead.
Do yourself a favor and forget that mentality now. Spend a little more and get something decent from the start. You won't have to upgrade to something better which saves you money in the long run. Take it from those of us who have wasted too much money on crap equipment before learning our lesson.
