Powerhead thoughts.

Hey all. I have a pair of mp10s on a 120g tank. I’m not thrilled with them and wanted some thoughts from those who “upgraded” from MPs. I appreciate the idea of wires out of water but the alignment issues and heat are big problems.

Anyone upgrade from these? Maybe an ideal trade? I get that these aren’t the best flow for the tank, but these give me lots of issues trying to run them at full blast.

Yeah, 2 mp10’s won’t do much on a 120 gallon tank. At least 2 mp40’s or equivalent size powerheads. I had 2 WAV’s on my 120. A gyre or two would work well too.

A pair of Red Sea ReefWave25s would probably work nicely. And you can keep the MP10s.
