Just about to fill my 36 x 15 w x 21 deep 50 gallon as I near completion of LR curing. I plan for this to be a purely LPS/SPS tank. I was wondering if anybody thinks I should add an additional powerhead to my current Vortech mp10. In an ideal world, I would purchase an additional mp10 and connect them wirelessly, however, that would not fit my budget unfortunately. Does anybody have a suggestion for a powerhead, preferably $50 or under, that would complement my mp10 well given the dimensions of my mostly LPS/SPS tank? Would consider stretching budget to $75 if it was well worth it. Thanks!

The tunze nanostreams are actually looking pretty good. Seem to be in my budget range while providing decent performance. What flow rate (gph) should i be looking for in conjunction with the mp10?

It’s really going to vary from tank to tank depending on rockscape and coral species kept. Some lps tolerate higher flow than others. It’s really something you will have to experiment with. With an MP10 and a 6040 you can adjust the flow very easily to fit your needs and the Tunze can also be positioned in more directions whereas the MP10 is straight only.

Just ordered a tunze nano 6045 which is adjustable (400-1175 gph) and came in under $70 with a coupon . Thank you guys for your help!!
