I recently made a budget for Powerheads/Wavemakers and I'm around the $300 (each) mark. With that in mind, I'm currently stuck between the Ecotech MP40 (2 units) and the Maxspect Gyre XF230 (Also 2 units). I have watched the "Does it Gyre" video and I feel both of these products are good quality. The thing that worries me is longevity. I know Ecotech stands behind their products, but I also know almost all the Dry goods for sale ads I see with Ecotechs say something about "rebuilt motor" or "replaced dry side." Correct me, Ecotech owners if this is less prevalent with the Quiet Drive products. Anyway, I'd love to hear from any Ecotech or Maxspect owners on their takes and the pros and cons of owning the products. Thanks Guys!

Have you considered Current USA eFlux Wave Maker Kit? I'm a retired guy on fixed income so I too was looking for something less expensive. So I bought one of these kits on Amazon. You get the controller and one powerhead. I bought one extra powerhead. The controller can handle three powerheads. Have had it for about 3 months. Works pretty well. Easy to setup. I like it a lot. Happy New Year! Oh, I got the 2100 gph

Thanks Big G I’ll take a look at these, I’m also considering going Jebao too as I believe some of their pumps have proven themselves good performance to cost ratio

Jebao seems to be kinda hit or miss on the quality of their pumps. I bought one for my 90 but it was so whiney I ended up putting out in the garage on my mixing station. I have heard the newer ones are better quality, but the price has gone up. Best of luck and Happy New Year!

What did you pick? I bought QP-9 and it has a high pitch noise, very high. I want a power head that’s smaller in size and powerful. What one should I get?
