Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a powerhead that can be put completely underwater. Not only the inside portion but also the part that normally would go outside of the aquaria. I wish to put a powerhead/wavemaker on the angled corner overflow in one of my tanks, and therefore the normally external part will be constantly underwater.

What do you recommend? I'd like it to be controllable however if it will only be a straight stream that'll be alright too. I also would really like it if it mounted magnetically, I have a strong hate for the suction cups of the old days.

Thanks for your advice and opinions,

Zack

Current USA pumps just use a magnet for mounting and could be submerged. i have two synced and like them so far.

Would you consider the outer magnet sealed? I don't want to run the risk of having the outer magnet that isn't necessarily designed for in water use to leach into the system.

I checked just now and they do appear sealed entirely in plastic. Upon closer inspection, the plastic appears to be pretty solid, but they are very light compared to my old koralia magnets, so i cant comment on the longevity.

Thank you! I have a couple Jebao's in another system of mine, I really should check their magnets out and see what they are like as well.

Thanks for your thoughts!
