Hello,
I have a 200G bowfront tank (72X29X24) and currently in the build phase. My return centered over the back currently with a reeflo superdart gold pump but i will be changing it out with a Varios 8, thus i have quite a bit of flow to the center of the tank, but I think i am going to go with 2 Tunze 6105 power heads and wanted to know if you should but them on opposite ends of the tank or both on one end?

Thanks

If using a wave generator, placing one on each end with a alternating flow pattern would be best. If not, all at one end would create a gyre effect.

I will have to read up on that but i believe these models have that ability!

Thx

My return loc line looks just like yours, have you ever thought about putting on those random flow generators for the ends of the loc lines??

I had actually thought about using them.

I have mine on opposite ends (and one in the middle) to mimic tidal flows. with a bit of a storm in the mix.
Not sure I'm that advanced yet...lol. still alot to learn before I get to that point. I'm trying to make a budget for power heads after I buy my new return pump this week.
Thx

The random flow educators probably wouldn't be that effective in my case as I have only 3x system turn over through the sump. I get all the flow in the DT from my jeabo's running around 20 - 30x turn over.
