Do most people leave them on or shut them down when you feed your fish/tank?

Right now mine shut off automatically via my Apex with an automatic feed schedule I have. It shuts off my skimmer, main pump to 4% and my powerheads.

I leave my power heads and my return pump running. My fish clean it up fairly fast and nothing gets close to the overflow

I also leave everything running. The fish take care of it all before it gets to the overflows most of the time. Even my slower fish get what they need by waiting in the rocks for it to drift by.

I’ve got mine cut to 10% on FeedA on my Apex. I don’t trust that one curious fish to sneak inside the MP40 wetside.

Good idea....what does your code look like for that?
Did you setup a profile first and then reference it in the code?

I actually figured it out and posted on the Neptune forum as well.
I had to create a profile then call that profile in the Feed A and vfeed outlet code.

I keep everything on normal, though wish I could throttle the return down to avoid some of the loss to the overflow. Most of it stays blowing around the tank.

I leave everything running normal.

I actually pour the thawed food into my MP60. Most fish will eat more aggressively if the food is moving.

I used to feed pellet food. When I did, I turned all the pumps off so that none of the pellets could get lost behind the rocks or anything. Then, when the fish were done, I siphoned out all the extra to limit how much extra junk was making it into the tank.

Now, I feed frozen foods. I put my return pump on feed, but I leave my powerheads in my tank on. Keeps the food moving until the return pump comes back on.
