I’ve got a 36 gallon with a Hydor 240gph in it and Imo i think it’s too small. Now I’ve started a biocube 16 that i want to turn into a little reef (nothing to fancy) but not sure on a good powerhead for it. Should i take the one out of my 36g and use it in the biocube and upgrade to a bigger one for that 36g tank? Will that powerhead take too much real estate up in my biocube? I need some opinions and help please:)

That 240 really is weak (I have one) it might be enough for the 16 if you can stand how far it sticks out but even then it's so directional in terms of flow that it isn't really going to provide much. It's more like a second return in terms of flow than a wide flow powerhead. In my 14g I found it to be so weak I decided it wasn't worth it being there as it wasn't doing anything a more powerful return pump couldn't accomplish.

If I would recommend any powerhead it would have to be the Nero5 solely based on its adjustability, it can happily sit in the 16 or your 36 and have plenty of flow for both and then some, but unlike others can be turned way way down.
