I have a used power head I got with a bunch of gear from a tank breakdown. It appears to have been used in a small tank, which could have been a QT tank. I've already given it a vinegar bath, was covered in crested algae, and it's working great. I was wondering if I should be concerned that it absorbed copper or something? I just want to use it to pre-mix my kalk and saltwater.

Thoughts?

The parts making up the pump, afaik, shouldn't be porous or at least not to the point that it could 'soak up' anything and then release it later.

IMHO you're fine so long as the powerhead was thoroughly cleaned.

Thanks! I figured just wanted to be safe and ask.
