Years ago it was "go for the wave maker" but do you really notice a difference in a tank less then a few hundred gallons? As I'm looking to get my feet wet (no pun intended) again, I'm looking to stick at a cap of 30 gallons, more so a 20-29 gallon tank. Use to use a lot of Tunze powerheads in the past, and saw that they have a nano wave maker. Worth it? Or just stick to two powerheads set up with some cross flow?

I think it all depends on how much you want to spend. You could go with a vortech mp10 or just a couple smaller koralias for a lot less.
