I am currently running a Gyre 350 on my Reefer 250, but am Considering going to two smaller powerheads to get more of an even flow. I am looking at an Ecotech of course, or possibly the Nero 5.

My question is, for the Ecotechs, how do the MP10s do on a Reefer 250? I have heard some people say they will work and others say they may fall off?

Also has anyone tested out the Nero 5s? How are they?

Lastly, do you think it's worth moving from one Gyre to two separate pumps?

I would do 2 MP40’s. Won’t fall off, and ability to kick it up when cleaning is needed

Yeah, I just wish they were't so darn expensive lol. All that for a magnet. That's why I'm kinda leaning towards Nero 5s. I have heard decent things about them?

The extra flow isn’t so bad either

Well, that's why I was thinking about the Neros, I think I will be able to build my flow a bit better in the tank. I love the look of the Ecotechs but $700+ for powerheads is pretty steep.

First tank and am wondering what you did? I was looking at the Nero 5 for the same reason as you ($$ for the Vortec).
