Ppe Death!!!!!

well i have been reading forums trying to figure out why my PPE havent opened since yesterday, well i think it was a bacterial infection.
in desperation, i couldnt find furan 2 availible at any of my LFS, so i tried another product with almost the exact same ingredients. it was the jungle brand fungus clear... active ingredients are nitrofurazone, furazolidone, and potasium dichromate.... obviously the potasium dichromate is harmful, as i did everythig just like it says(minus the furan) except i checked the PPE after 5 minuters, and they had totally dissolve!!!! my 8 polyp colony is now dead, i placed the frag plug back in my tank hoping maybe a little piece would make it, but i fear it is over......
just wanted to share with everyone so they dont make the same mistake as me.... i actually treated another colony just to make sure it wasnt the PPE's, and it dissolved them too....
so please dont use anything but "true" furan-2

well i cant aford those again for quite a while so that was an expensive mistake, dont do the same thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my problem i have is i have to order a decent amount to make shipping worth it.... thats what sucks, i paid 50/polyp cuz they were a direct desendant of blane's, i bought 6, and have had for two months.. there were 2 more adults and 4 more babies..... and at even 35/polyp its the 75 for shipping that sucks!!!!!!

Wow....$75 to ship? I hope that was shipped from overseas or something. I wouldn't even pay $50 for shipping unless it was a heavy shipment.

no with shipping costs, and fed ex was the only one that would guaruntee overnight from florida, plus i paid a little extra to have it here by 8am..... thats what i get for living in the sticks!!!!!!!

That does suck when you lose something like that.

I can relate on the shipping issue. It costs a small fortune to ship up to the Pacific Northwest.
I recently paid $84 for a priority overnight Saturday delivery of a small 4lb. box.

yeah, i really just wanted to share so no one else does the same mistake!!!! well soon i will be looking for a small frag again.... but who has some with lineage back to blane on here? and what would you charge me? please keep in mind i lost mine!!!!
