PPE Variations???

I posted this on RC, but was wondering what you guys thought... I have what I believe to be two different strains or morphs of PPE's... The first is the one I question... I've had them for a bit over a year... They seem to be the little sister to most of the PPE's I've seen around... Their adult polyps are about half the size of most PPE's (between an eraser and dime diameter), and they're a little bit lighter in color... They grow wicked slow... I started with 2 adults and one baby and I now have 4 adult polyps...

The second type I believe most of you have... They're about a quarter in diameter... They grow relatively well for me, about 2 or 3 polyps a month... Here are the comparison pics... LMK what you guys think, or if any of you have the smaller type and what you do for care/growth/etc etc...

Ummm, not sure... lol They have the green mouth slit and white striping on the polyps... You can somewhat make it out on the top right polyp...

What are all the identifications again???

I think I've got both of those strains too. The little ones don't grow worth a darn for me either!

Okay I would like to chime in... I bought the small ones originally but they were sold to me as PPE, I do not believe they are the real thing at all! I had them for over 4 months and they NEVER grew. However... today I am getting a REAL one from a fellow local reefer and I will tell you all what I think. Thanks and hopefully this time it truly is the real deal!

Yeah, I had actually gotten the small ones first... And I was like, ok, what the heck is all the hoopla about... These things kind of suck... It wasn't till I saw a set in one of my friends tanks, and saw Marv hold a quarter up in comparison to his, that I thought I may have been short changed or at least had a different strain...

The one thing that gets me is that they ID out to a typical PPE in everything except size and growth...

msman~ What are WBPE's??? I get lost with some of these names...
