finally picked up some PPEs from coralfarm123.....the skirt is green too just couldn't get a good shot

they are super slow growers! and prone to wasting away for no good reason! I've had mine go from about 20 polyps down to 5 a couple times! they are super nice though! the holy grail of palys!

Debatable. I think Purple Hornets are pretty Grailicious!

lol those are some nice zoas....i like PPEs alot and i hope they dont melt away...i currently have a zoa that melts to about 5 then doubles in size from before it melted...then melts again to about half....annoying

Congrats. Took me a long time before I finally broke down and got some myself. They are nice looking, but I think what I like about them the most is that, unlike most of the easier -to-keep zoas, the PPE require a little more attention and are a bit tempermental as far as flow, lighting, etc., so this keeps me on the up and up with their care, placing them in a special slot as far as all the other zoas I keep. I have had 2 new polyps in a months time, so yes, theya re slow growers whereas my nightmares have trippled if not quadrupled in a month.
Again, congrats on the new PPEs.

oh, yes. i've had my eye out for some purple hornets (ones that i can afford, at least) :moneygrubber:

how much do ppe's go for per polyp, anyway?

i picked mine up for $25..which is a deal ive seen them from other hobbyist on RC and R2R for $30-40

The Purple Hornets are mine! I wish I would have kept the picture before the one that you posted. They morphed from a light blue to the purple they are now. That color has held for over a year now. I only wish they grew faster... I get a couple emails a day from people that want them.

I agree those are very nice! when will you frag them? would love to get at least one of those polyps :xd:
