Prayers are always good.

Not convinced that you have a problem here. Quit dosing limewater until alkalinity comes down. If you didn’t get a snowstorm you don’t have a serious problem, except in areas of added temperature. If you are running heaters, lower temperature set point

Should be alright my dosing pump decided to dose an entire gallon one weekend while I was away. When I could finally see in my tank surprisingly all coral was plump and looked pretty healthy. Would not suggest this method though, lol

Aquaforest kh buffer is just sodium bicarbonate aka baking soda and has a minimal to nil effect on pH

Randy’s done an article named “ph stability vs alkalinity stability” or something of that effect and while he doesn’t make any assertions, one could draw the conclusion that pH stability is far more important than kh stability. I did a number of experiments on my prized reef adding massive amounts of bicarbonate- 3, 4 and 5dkh all at once and saw zero negative effects from my sps, clams, fish and inverts. I wouldn’t dare make these massive additions with a hydroxide like lye or kalkwasser… but bicarbonate- just send it.
Interesting apex name… didn’t have room for the entire “BigNight” name?!?
