I have heard you can put prazi in a reef and always heard that it will kill feather dusters and worms. Is that all it will kill? Are pods and the rest of the clean up crew safe?

Praziquantel is designed as a “dewormer.” It shouldn’t hurt pods unless overdosed, like all antibiotics can make snails a bit sluggish but I’ve used it many times without adverse reactions. May irritate anemones too.

It will deplete oxygen so need to be careful to have adequate flow. If you have a lot of bristleworms watch for a die off and potential ammonia spikes.

I've never had issues with it killing anything in my tank. I don't have any ornamental feather dusters, but the normal little hitch-hiker ones survived. Make sure to keep your skimmer running with the cup off to help keep the 02 level up, as prazi sucks oxygen from the water. I think you'd be more likely to see losses from depletion than the prazi itself...

Ok perfect thanks l

The hidden danger is bristleworms. Many reefers do not know that they have them in their tanks, and the population and size of them can get rather large. Prazipro will kill them. So there is a potential for a big ammonia spike.

I should be good. The tank is an upbeat so three quarters of the rock is new only about 40 pounds could of had any worms in in
