Just curious what the experience has been with mixing prazipro with antibiotics? I'm currently running kanaplex, metroplex, and furan2 to combat a bacterial infection on the mouths of 3 pyramid butterflies when furan2 wasn't working by itself.

I'm running TTM and in the 3rd transfer and I see one fish still rubbing so I can only assume flukes since most of the ich should have fallen off of it by now.

Is prazipro safe with antibiotics?

there is no need to run prazipro concurrent with the other meds unless they are severely infested with flukes. Besides metroplex treats intestinal worms that will already be covered and a 5 minute freshwater dip will clear the majority of the flukes off the fish, buying you time until the antibiotics can finish.

I don't like mixing any meds with Prazipro (bacterial bloom) unless its really needed. You could treat with API General Cure (which contains powder praziquantel) instead. It's the Oxybispropanol (solubilizing agent) found in Prazipro which can cause interaction issues.

Always to the rescue you two! Thanks! I think I may do a freshwater dip for relief and hold off until the antibiotic treatment is complete before treating with prazipro.
