hey guys so my blue tang has flukes and i can not catch him... I've read about dosing the tank with prazipro i am just worried about the coral and the worms that grew on the live rock im not sure of the exact name for the worms like little tube worms with the string that comes out of them.... i do not really care if those worms die im more concerned for the ammonia that will rise if any if those worms die...

In my tank i have the blue tang, fox face, 2 clownfish, lawnmower blenny, long nose hawkfish, and a sand shifting starfish
for coral all i have are different types of zoas

ive had all of those for about 6 months together

so just looking for suggestions on it thank you!

I think it’s a question of dilution - amount of dying organic matter vs tank size. However apparently after 72hrs there shouldnt be any active ingredient left in your tank and you could do water changes. If you concerned you could also put an ammonia batch into your tank to monitor for ammonia during treatment!

yeah ive read that this stuff is good and helps a lot and is not suppose to affect the bio filter but i have so many of those worms on my rocks... they are small but just don't know about the ammonia factor if they all do die... they might even survive it for all i know

yeah ive seen it says to either turn it off or to take the cover off of it

PraziPro contains a chemical Oxybispropanol which works to keep the praziquantel in solution. Oxybis uses a significant amount of oxygen from the water. Important to run a powerhead so that it is aimed up at the surface of the water, actively rippling the water's surface. It's the best method to increase/maintain O2 levels in your tank.

Sounds like Vermentid snails. I wouldn’t worry about anything dieing, dose prazi to water and take cup off skimmer, done deal.

Ive dosed to the tank. I do it at 75-80% of recommended dosage.

This ^^^ exactly. The recommended dose of Prazipro on the bottle is a bit high at 2.5 when 2.0 works well (that's the dosage in General Cure). Good catch @vetteguy53081 ;)
