Prazipro necessary after copper QT treatment new fish?

So I am starting to QT my fish before adding to display tank. I currently have a Royal Gramma that has been in therapeutic copper for 2 weeks. If possible, I’d like to only do copper treatment and skip prazi. Fish seems to be acting fine, but is there something I should be looking for? I’d rather not treat with more meds unless it’s necessary.

Prazi is optional and often assurance that all avenues are cleared.
Skipping prazi, signs to look for are scratching, heavy breathing, loss of appetite, yawning effect, lethargic behavior and clamped fins

Ok. Fish eats anything I drop into the tank, and shows no signs of breathing heavy, scratching or anything else.

I didn't read the rest of the posts. IMHO - if you're going to follow a QT protocol - follow it - and follow it every time. So - based on the QT protocol on R2R - the answer would be copper for 30 days - and prazipro after. However - I'm not sure im understanding - are you saying you already treated in copper 2 weeks and you want to do 2 more - or are you saying - you wonder about doing 2 weeks more - The guideline - depending on your source - is to treat with prazipro (to answer your direct question)

After doing some research I am following a 14 copper treatment, not the 30 day. My question was is Prazi necessary on all new fish. I don’t like just medicating fish for no reason if I don’t have to. Sounds like if they aren’t showing symptoms, it’s OK to skip.

OK - so if you want the answer - the answer is - most people hear - recommend the protocol thats recommended. I'm not sure I want to comment on whether other protocols are right or wrong - since - truthfully - many people just drop their fish into their tanks after 20 minutes of acclimation.

Having said that - I think there is a reason - that most zoos, aquariums, etc - have a biosecurity program. And this has changed my mind on QT - We, the people who monitor the fish medic area - read perhaps 10-20 posts per day about people who said 'I only broke the QT protocol once.' You can choose what you want to do . I would personally recommend following the current protocol recommended on the site.
