Prazipro overdose?

Hi everyone, I suspect my fish may have flukes or some other thing going on. I’ve been dosing my tank with orazipro, but just figured out I misunderstood the dosing instructions. I thought I was supposed to dose it every day for 5-7 days, not that it LASTS 5-7 days!!!!! I just dosed it for the third day in a row. My fish are acting fine for the most part, but I’m mostly concerned because I’m going out of town tomorrow and won’t be here to change the water until Sunday evening. Will my fish be ok until then? Do I even need to do a water change (I read some people do 3x dosage on purpose!)?

Correct- do a 29% water change and run for 8 day Interval change water and one more 8 day interval
While you added daily- should not have a big impact
Add aeration via air stone as prazi will reduce both oxygen and appetite

Ok. So you mean do 29% water change 3 times with 8 days in between?

Praziquantel itself wouldn't be toxic for 3 doses in a row. It breaks down pretty quickly. The issue is the solvent used in Prazipro is an organic material (a glycol) and bacteria breaks it down. This in turn causes a drop in the oxygen level. So - just increase the aeration in the tank and you should be fine.
