So i am in my second week of dosing Praziquantel and i noticed the Phosphate reading is of the chart.
I used Praziquantel tablets and disolved them in the first week in water and second week in 95% Ethanol and then added the solution in a 35 lt bucket and into the tank.
I stuck to the 9.5 g per gallon rule.
I test with hanna phosphate.
My phosphate was around 0.2 in the weeks before the Prazi dose, now it's blinking at 0.9 meaning its out of range.
Last week i retested straight after the first test and got 0.68, a day later 0.54.
Does Praziquantel affect Phosphate readings because i cant explain the huge jump when it was stable before.

I don't see any chemical reason for it to give a false positive.

Dead organisms that it killed could be raising phosphate.
That crossed my mind too but I wouldn't think that this would happen an hour within dosing prazi.
And nitrates did stay stable in the last two weeks, they actually dropped a little.
Very odd. Might get a new batch of reagents.
