Praziquantel powder

Hi does anyone know the dosage for praziquantel powder? Thanks Tom

General Cure contains 75mg dosage for 10 gallons. Dose. Wait 5-7 days. 25% w/c and Dose again. Wait 5-7 days. w/c. Done

Are you using API's "General Cure" (which I've used ) or straight Praziquantel powder (which I've not)?

Yeah pure powder, it's a pain. Using same dosage as API general cure which is 750mg per 10 gallons. Hard to weigh 3 grams. Thanks Bruce and Big G Happy holidays Tom.

Pure powder is about 1 gram or a 1/4 teaspoon per 40 gallons not 750 mg per 10 gallons. It also needs to be mixed with vodka to be soluable in water. I would hate to see an overdose on sensitive fish because you’re following the instructions of general cure.

Ok bad with math put about 3 grams to treat roughly 400 gallons . Too much or too little? Thank you

That's 75 mg not 750

Yeah I am treating 400 gallons so I times 75by 10 then by 4 to give me dosage for 400 gallons. Buts it's actually 1/4 teaspoon per 40 gallons

Humblefish likes the 75 mg dose from General Cure better than the liquid dosage of Prazipro. He thinks it works just fine and is gentiler than the liquid strength.
