Pre-curing Carib-sea life rock.

I’m not a big fan of this stuff but I had about 30lbs of it that was perfect for breaking up and and building a negative space scape out of. I also have about 2 months before I start setting up the tank it goes into.

Is pre-curing in a Rubbermaid tub and seeding with coralline and various pods in advance a good idea and how would you go about this?

Just cycle as you would in a tank. Drop in a powerhead for circulation and let it go. I use bio spira and dr tims ammonia chloride. After the tub cycles, If you add pods you'll have to feed the tub with phyto since there will be no organics for them to naturally feed. If you were too start the coralline seeding. then you would have to add light.

What I should do is put it all in a plastic tote. Punch a bunch of holes in the tote and toss it in the St John’s delta down the road 5 minutes away tie it to a mam grove and come back in a month.
