Precipitation from raising Alk to quickly

So I’ve read a million threads on this so I kind of figure I’m just in a waiting game, but I figured I’d ask how long till it clears up.

Red Sea Max E260 so 69 gallons with 30 gallon sump, around 80 gallon of water volume. All my parameters are in line, 420, 8.3dkh, 1350 mag, 8.4 ph and 1.025 salinity. I keep the tank around 77 degrees.

It went from crystal clear to now day 3 of very hazy water. Can’t see from one side to the other. I did two 30 gallon water changes the past two days hoping it would clear it up but it did nothing. I’m guessing from what I read I have to wait till alk drops low enough for the calcium to stop precipitating?

Tanks only been up a few months, some Sps frags but nothing to demanding.

I used Bulk Reef pharma soda ash to buffer the Alk, raised it about 3dkh in one night, but also dosed calcium, around 20 ppm.

Did you dump in 3 dKH worth all in one shot? That will boost pH a lot and it was probably the pH spike that caused precipitation.

Nothing to do now but let it clear on its own.

I didn’t do it all at once, but may as well since I did it all over the span of 12 hours. Yeah, what a mess. Everything is doing fine now, and params all look right, but it’s definitely ruining my enjoyment

Is this something that clears in a few days or am I looking at weeks or more?
