predator fish in sump?

My sump is not in a closed stand. It's in my fish room and clearly visible every time I'm in there. :)
That's how mine was and I had a painted frog fish in my middle/refugium section, so much fun. Go for it, just plan it out start to finish and make sure it works alk the way around, if a Fisk from dt goes in the over flow etc, no way return pump coming in contact with sump fish, export extra nutrients etc etc I really like the mantis suggestion

Orange spotted rabbit fish was being segregated she couldn't/wouldn't play nice, figured a time out and rock being re arranged she might play nice

Anyone ever gotten crazy and put a predator fish in your sump for fun? My sump is a 125g tank (probably 90g after you take away the space the totes/skimmer/drain pipes come into). And call me crazy, I'm kinda thinking of putting a predator fish into it for fun. My sump has live rock, light from the ATS, flow, etc.
I have a large grouper in mine
