Here's an idea for a stock list in a 320 gal used tank I am picking up tomorrow. Yes I'm a ways away but I'm finally getting a tank. I want to do FOWLR. Predator tank

Panther grouper
Miniatus grouper....can u do both?
Powder blue
Niger trigger
Humu trigger
Bluejaw or half moon trigger
Harlequin tusk wrasse

Did I just fall to the oldest mistake in the book and overstock?
Please let me know

That may be pushing it for a stocking limit. The panther grouper alone should have about 300 gallons. In saying that, he would be the fish needing most space so it may be ok :)
I've never had most of those fish, so I can't say for sure. I'm just speculating. You'll need lots of caves and overhangs and stuff in an aggressive tank too. Atleast 2 per fish I recommend.
What are the dimensions?
I agree, you should add an eel :)

I have had about half of those but with a panther grouper could be a mistake everything would have to be bigger than its mouth cause if it fits it gets ate. Just need lots of hiding places triggers like places to lock into. The tusk make sure to get australian one better color.

Ye definitely want Australian tusk and the grouper would be as small as I can find one so the other fish could grow as much as possible

Any ideas about Miniatus grouper that's the same story right?

And are lion fish not compatible with triggers?

Great size! You should be fine with most of them fish. Like I said I haven't had much experience with most of them, so maybe someone else will chime in.
As mentioned above, be careful of the groupers. Their mouths are ridiculously big and they will eat anything that fits inside. A mate of mine showed me a video of a panther grouper eating a piece of live rock. Or trying to eat it anyway. It got it down, but it came back up.

Lions will get along had a black volitan about 10" just kept it well fed. Had a blue devil damsel that flirted with disaster everytime lion got close to his house would come out slap lion around with tail never got ate.

You can find panther groupers that are like 2 inches long pretty easily :)
I cant really help with the miniatus grouper. It should be ok with the smaller fish assuming they're not meal size, but I don't know how multiple groupers go together.
Most triggers are likely to pick at the lions long flowing fins. Most scorpion fish (especially the ones that have long appendages or camoflauge well) are not compatible with a lot fish that graze rock or have the sharp beak like triggers and puffers as they can get nipped at pretty often.

I heard that too. So if I stuck with just the niger or a niger and a humu trigger (the least aggressive) would the lion be ok. Or do I have to make the choice? Lion or triggers

From experience had niger, huma, clown trigger with a black volitan never had a prob with fins being nipped. Biggest thing is making sure all are well fed. Also had two angels, racoon butterfly, orbic bat in the same tank. Ran that way for two years no probs

135 gal first one then did a 180 no lion but 3 triggers, 3 angels, tusk, red coris wrasse, tomini tang, make sure you have plenty of filtration and nutrient export as params can get way off very fast with types of food you will have to feed
