I'm currently cycling my first tank, and somehow gaslit myself into think the nitrogen cycle was measured in days not weeks.

I have an order of ecopods and oceanmagik coming from AlgaeBarn to develop the plankton population in the tank post cycle but it will arrive way before the nitrogen cycle is complete.

Im planning on feeding the pods from the algae for a couple weeks per AlgaeBarn's instructions to try and keep them alive until my ammonia readings are zero. Anything else I can do to help them? Am I correct in assuming I can't introduce them until my ammonia is 0?

Go buy yourself a bottle of BioSpira or Fritzyme Turbo Start and you are good to go.

Yes, add nitrifying bacteria when you add the copepods
Pods do generally tolerate higher levels of ammonia, but Dr. Tim’s or Fritz Turbo Start are definitely your best bet!
Oh ok, I added a bottle of Dr. Tim's one and only yesterday and I've been ghost feeding the tank! So I'll have been doing that about a week by the time the pods get here.

Should I be good to just add them to the tank when they arrive then?

It is days, its not weeks. Weeks was the old ways, the incorrect ways

bottle bac seats in your nitrogen cycle in two days

using real live rocks makes you skip the cycle: zero days wait. Instantly ready

you don’t get a better cycle waiting weeks.
