Preferred Antibiotic Choice for Popeye

My Lineatus in quarantine has developed popeye. Pretty sure it’s just an injury, as it’s only one eye an not cloudy.

Dosed epsom salt and it didn’t make a big difference. Been treating with Furan-2 for the last 4 days but just got API EM Erythromycin in the mail today.

Wondering if I should stick with Furan, switch to EM or use both.

IME; Erythromycin + minocycline has worked best for treating eye infections. But if you're confident its just a gram positive infection, erythromycin by itself should work fine.

Pretty sure it’s gram positive. No other signs of bacterial infection. After losing my bandit in under 48hrs I am a tad bit paranoid.

But you have to double the dosage for SW use (which gets expensive). I really miss the SW versions of Maracyn 1 & 2, which contained B complex vitamins that stimulate metabolism to improve appetite. Really helped to counteract the side effects (namely appetite suppression) of the ABX.
