Accidentally rescaped my rockwork and uncovered a splurge of small bits of organic waste! Poll below out of curiosity and looking for advice!
Nitrates went from 15ppm to 35mm after uncovering the hidden detritus underneath my rockscape at an area of low flow in my 250gallon tank.
After doing a large water change should I,
A) Keep performing daily water change until nitrates are at acceptable levels
B) Begin to carbon dose to lower nutrient levels and initiate heavier skimming
C) Buy more hermit crabs and snails to consume the hidden waste
D) Physically remove the waste particles with a water siphon?
