I love mushrooms... I’m hoping to eventually get a bounceI happen to be a mushroom fan.
Thanks for the welcome!Welcome to Reef2Reef !!
Following!
Update 3:
The tank is still in the process of cycling in... I’ve been checking the water daily and the ammonia and nitrates are finally coming down, I’ve also been dosing AquaVitro’s Remedition daily.

Also, I’m currently in the works of finish up my “fish room”. Basically the wall the tank is on has a closet directly behind it. It’s also very nice because right where I drilled through there’s shelves built in, so I won’t have to worry about making any.
I ended up drilling a 1 inch hole through the wall so that way I can feed the wires and ATO tubing through to the power supply and ATO container. I’m also working on making a controller board, which I’ll be able to mount the Kessil controller and power supply bar on.
I’ve also been running into a problem with my powerheads. Basically I’ve tried both an MP10 and Coral Box RN-1, And even when on the lowest mode they create a small sandstorm and make the tank quite cloudy.
So I’m thinking of just upgrading my return pump to the biggest one that will fit. Any thoughts on this, will this be enough flow for the size tank?
Thank you! I’m thinking about maybe adding a small frag tank to the room from ocean box designs, that way I can grow my stuff out before adding it to the display.I like the remote fish room concept
Looking at the unboxing of your tank Link
It would be great to see a diagram of the baffling in back of the tank. What I can see from the video is that there is flow coming in from the bottom of the tank and top of the tank?

If that is true it just going to take more time for the stuff to filter off the top of the water.
Here’s a picture of the back chambers.

The two areas on the left and right are for filter sponges, then they flow in to the middle which has a carbon pad on each side, which then flows to the direct middle which is where the return pump is.
The issues I’m having is not getting enough flow on the surface and some areas of the tank. As you can maybe tell from the picture above there’s a thin layer of surface scrum also.
I did point the nozzle towards the surface, but for some reason there’s hardly any flow coming out.... I have the siice micra plus which is 150GPH, so I feel like it should be creating a decent amount of flow? You cannot tilt the power heads to move the water?

Found the problem!check the pump to see if it assembled correctly

Any need to add a CUC?Cycling along just fine![]()
