Preparing to add fish

Hey y’all getting ready to add my fish in. I have a 30 gallon tank with 2 green chromis. My goal is to possibly have seahorses down the road so I was considering simple stocking plans. I plan to add a pair of clownfish, a clown goby, and a gramma. Any thoughts for good fish for the sand level considering I do not want a diamond goby.

You plan on having sea horses in a reef tank? If I understand this right you're going to have to re-think the tank mates. I'd suggest doing more research on the specific needs of a seahorse.

For the sand though considering the potential seahorse future I'd suggest thinking about a sand sifting star fish and also nassarius snails. Both are good at moving sand and would be kind to a seahorse future.

Agree with the above and please make sure your tank is properly cycled prior to adding livestock.

While you can mix seahorses with fish they prefer cooler waters and do best in a species only tank. And sand sifting starfish need very big established tanks.

...and they often end up dying anyway. A small sand-sifting conch, such as the little bear conch, would probably be a better addition.
