Prettier then a gem tang

I've had a couple in the past and my last one was about 6" in length and came out all the time. He did have a good hiding spot but came out non the less. He was also in with an old very large blue damsel, also 6" but was 17 YO. Might be time for another :)

Would love to know what "family" they belong to. IE grouper?

Their family is Plesiopidae, which also includes assessors and hulafish.
