I've been keeping an eye on these polyps for the past month, and I have to say that I quite like the pale yellow tentacles matched with the reddish purple (okay, puce) central disc. I've eradicated the beer-bottle brown members of this family in my Evo, but sort of want to keep these around. Does anyone have any pictures of aiptasia with special colour morphs?

Hmmm, I am not sure if it is Aiptasia, but it looks great!
@Isopod80?

It's possible that it's some other 'nem. I'd hate to think that there's another type of pest anemone to add to aiptasia and majanos; you can see that it's budding off a daughter (also with stripey, yellow tentacles) at the top.

I've got an exploding population of berghias in my RSM250 in case things get out of hand...

I think it might be (Ex)aiptasia diaphana. Google turned up a few similar-looking specimens, although most seem to be the common aquarium species, E. pallida. I swear this is going to be the next bounce mushroom or weeping willow toadstool mania! But I promise to share! In Canada, in any case.

It looks to me like Exaiptasia diaphana as opposed to the more common Aiptasia pallida. Very common down here on the Florida coast. I could see it as a pretty common hitchiker on Florida liverock. Unfortunately, it will spread the same as the ugly version.
