Finally installed an RODI. No more trips to the store to get water. I picked up a Rubbermaid Brute Slim Jim container from big box store which holds 16 gal of fresh water. Still need a couple of fittings to make it look complete. I have 2 waste lines. One when wife needs to do laundry and another when I just want to have it go down the drain. Just need to pick up a float valve. Now on to making some water. Do I need anything in the container to keep the water moving? or will it be fine just sitting stagnant?

Good deal.

No, the product doesn't need to be moving.

I actually wouldn't recommend a float valve. Just make big batches as needed. Set an alarm on your phone or something. Short cycling the RODI system will cause you to go through resin, and I wouldn't trust a valve to keep my floor from being flooded.

The unit has an ASO already installed but will only work if I install a float switch. Float switch is a 12.00 insurance in case I forget.

$12 is well worth the piece of mind.

Looks nice! I've been just making what I need each time, but I'm starting to see the benefit of having a reserve. Even if it's just fresh rodi, it doesn't take long to mix SW.
