I have been looking and researching info here for about 2 years now and never made an account.
Well after losing my father-in-law in March I am now fully in charge of our 140 gallon DT/60 gallon sump set up.
It’s a fish tank without any live corals
After tons of research and countless water changes in the last 2-3 month the tank is on its way to being a true display tank again.
Luckily we have lots of experience with water being “pool guys” and understanding how to balance out and regulate parameters
Btw Dory has been around for 24 year and has lived threw:
a split seam on the old tank… drained all the way down other than 1-2 inches of water over night. She just laid on her side
A chiller going out on vacation and the water going up to 103

I have been feeding her soaked nori (from my personal sushi problem.) is there any other good more natural foods I can give to help the tang.
I feed frozen brine and mysis shrimp as well as pellets soaked it vita chem.
We also drop a green muscle in once a week to help keep with a partially natural feeding for everyone. Big fish eats, small fish gets the flakes the fall off.
