Pretty sure my new wrasse got brook. We purchased the wrasse and 2 cleaner shrimp about 3 weeks ago. Shrimps went into hiding instantly because they were very small but wrasse seemed shy and would hang out by gyre. Within last week he actually would venture around tank more often. Yesterday evening we noticed he was almost vertical in the tank for a few seconds but then swam like normal. He had a few white like scratches but I assumed it was from rock. Today wife sent me a pic of it and he went downhill drastically. He was pretty much all white with patches of red and she said it was like his skin was peeling. I am thinking the shrimp had it and it jus took time for my wrasse to get infected. Wife never said how our other fish look but I will see when I get home in couple hours. I have noticed our yellow wrasse has been missing recently. When we first introduced fairy wrasse he was visible then a week later vanished. He stayed hidden for a few days then then popped out for a couple days like nothing. Now within the last week he has been hidden again. I am going to try the TTM and hydrogen peroxide method for existing fish and go fallow for atleast 42 days. I will try to add pic from my phone. I told wife to get rid of the wrasse

That looks like brook to me. And sounds like it too. Good luck

Poor guy! looks to be brook and bacterial infection. TTM is most effective against ich and Hydrogen Peroxide against velvet. Humblefish has a great thread about the hybrid TTM with Hydrogen Peroxide method. This route has room for error in my opinion. I prefer FWD first or 90 min Ruby Rally bath and then into QT with metro.
